Sunday Lunch Menu 13th September 2026

A savoury cheese parfait like the Blue Murder one on the menu today, has its roots strictly in classical French haute cuisine. It is a melt-in-the-mouth concoction using cheese supplied by Highland Fine Cheeses from Tain, an ancient market town and Scotland's oldest royal burgh, located on the southern shore of the Dornoch Firth in the Scottish Highlands.

The origin of our Spiced Lamb Croquette lies in the Middle East, South Asia and North Africa, while its accompaniment of Raita is a staple in Indian cuisine.

One of our vegetarian offerings this week is Wild Mushroom Linguine, a rich, earthy pasta dish tossed with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, herbs and a creamy sauce from a recipe originating from the Ligurian region of Italy, more specifically Genoa.

We're offering two choices of Sunday roast this week: our diners' favourite slow-roasted Scottish beef brisket or Honey-roasted Gammon, both equally tasty and served with Yorkshire pudding, an old English favourite, glazed vegetables and roast potatoes.

A delightfully zingy Lemon Posset served with a mini meringue and raspberries is an excellent way to wind up your Sunday dinner. Posset descends from a Medieval English drink.

Who knew that you'd be going on a world tour when you came to The Station Hotel Insch for Sunday lunch?!
