The Station Hotel is a small, family-run local business and we run it to a very high standard. Rooms, according to guests, are "immaculate", the staff are friendly and welcoming while the food is outstanding, whether you eat dinner in our restaurant in the evening or just have the full Scottish breakfast in the morning, included in the price of your room.


Our small and intimate establishment offers, we feel, a more friendly and welcoming environment than the larger corporate venues you will find in the city. But we're still close enough to Aberdeen for visits using the train directly across the road from the hotel, or visiting Aberdeenshire's stunning coastline by car.

"Absolutely outstanding stay! From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. The rooms are spotless, modern, and finished to a really high standard – you can tell a lot of care goes into keeping everything immaculate.


The bar and restaurant are fantastic. The drinks are perfectly made and the food is genuinely incredible – easily some of the best we’ve had in a long time.


What truly makes this place special though is the staff. The service is next level. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience.


I honestly couldn’t recommend this place more highly. A brilliant hotel with amazing food, great drinks, and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!

Is The Station Hotel Insch in a nice location?

Insch is a pretty village of nearly 2,700 people, situated roughly 25 miles north-west of Aberdeen. It's a great location for visiting distilleries, castles, the countryside walks and numerous other activities.


There's a pharmacist in the village just in case, along with a Morrison's Daily which also contains the Post Office, a Co-op, an antiques dealer, an art studio, a hardware store and many other small businesses and a doctor's surgery. It's a vibrant wee place and well worth a visit.


Insch also has a train station which will take you to places like Inverurie and Aberdeen in the one direction and Huntly and Inverness in the other. It sits straight across the road from The Station Hotel, so it's very handy. If you're a trainspotter, you might like our Signal Box Room which will give you a great view.

Can I eat at The Station Hotel?

You most certainly can. We offer a full Scottish breakfast included in the price of your room and cooked to order. None of this pre-cooked and kept warm (getting hard!) food that you find in the buffets of the big corporates.


At The Station Hotel, our breakfast consists of bacon, eggs cooked to your choice - fried, poached, scrambled and so on - beans, black pudding, sausage, tomato and mushrooms. You can, of course, ask your waitress to leave out the items you don't want or request a simpler option like poached eggs on toast instead of a big breakfast. And do let us know if you have any dietary requirements - we can offer gluten free, for example.

We believe that our room prices are highly competitive and offer great value for money. Our rooms are modern and our housekeeping standards are high, so you can expect a comfortable and clean room.
